Active/Rest is a state of mind - a lifelong journey of fitness and overall wellness, and it’s my approach to a fun, healthy lifestyle. I don’t believe in rest days or cheat meals in the traditional sense, but I do believe in balance. Intentional movement every day is my goal, regardless of exertion. I believe food is meant to fuel the body, but also to be enjoyed. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to exercise and diet. However, moving more and making healthier food choices is a plan that can work for everyone. Active/Rest is not a sprint; it is working daily and steadily towards your goal by increasing activity, resting when necessary, understanding how to fuel and move your body effectively, and by surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals to help you along the way. Sounds easy enough, huh?
I want to be your favorite workout partner, your motivator, and cheerleader. Through my workouts, I’m able to socialize, vent, form friendships, help and receive help, and be a sounding board at the end of a stressful day. Weight loss and a healthier lifestyle are just the bonuses.
