Frequently Asked Questions

I’m new to exercise. can i attend your class?

Yes. I take a “meet you where you are” approach to instruction. I will provide guidance on beginning weight sizes and moves. However, no one knows your body better than you, so you are encouraged to downsize or upgrade your weight size and modify your moves. I have participants with knee and back issues, and we are able to work together to provide a workout that is both challenging and rewarding.

what type of exercises will i do?

We vary our workouts daily, and they include cardio, strength training, and step aerobics. The equipment includes kettlebells, dumbbells, weighted bars, smash balls, battle ropes, jump ropes, and resistance bands.

How long does each session last?

One of the most common reasons people do not workout is because they feel like they don’t have time. For this reason, I try to limit the workouts to 30 minutes. However, if you have the stamina and if I have the time available, then you can request to begin 15 minutes earlier or go 15 minutes longer than scheduled.

what makes your program different?

My “meet you where you are” approach to instruction allows me to work with all fitness levels from beginner to advanced.

I give you the tools and encourage you to workout independently, so you can reach and maintain your goals with or without my assistance.

I believe in active rest - intentional movement every day. I try to motivate you to work towards your diet and exercise goals every day, regardless of the circumstance be it vacation, business trips, family visiting, while grieving, and during all seasons and weather changes.

My program focuses on changing your lifestyle, not weight loss. We will celebrate every victory on or off the scale. The ability to lift heavier, wear a blouse you haven’t worn in a while, walk a flight of stairs without getting out of breath, and getting better sleep are all signs of progress and reasons to be proud.
